Meanwhile, Onland Store is presenting “Island to Island – In Between”, a special exhibition featuring traditional crafts from Okinawa, including Ryukyu glass and Yachimun pottery. 新茶の季節に合わせて、
日本茶ブランド Sora Japanity による
新茶の淹れ方ワークショップを開催します。

今回ご紹介するのは、
静岡産のシングルオリジン茶葉
「香駿」と「つゆひかり」🌿

氷出しとお湯出し、さらに器を変えながら、
香りや旨みの移ろいをゆっくり楽しんでいただきます。

一煎目は香りに特化した氷出し、
二煎目では旨みを感じる氷出し、
三煎目ではじんわり沁みわたるお湯出し🫖

同じ茶葉でも、淹れ方や器によって変わる味わいを、
ぜひこの季節ならではの味わいをお楽しみください✨

From spring to summer.

As the air softens,
and the light begins to change little by little.

In that “in-between” period,
a quiet landscape of colors appears.

In this project,
we propose an early summer dining table through tableware based on blue and glass vessels that catch the light.

The cool texture,
the softly diffused light,
and the way each material complements the others, imbues the tableware with a subtle sense of the season.

We hope you will feel the beauty that exists in the “in-between” seasons.

50周年を迎えられる 陶庫さんに
全面的なご協力をいただいております。

栃木県・益子のものづくりを、
器そのものだけでなく、
制作現場を支える人やものづくりの視点からも
お伝えしたいという想いから生まれました。

陶庫さんは、民藝の里・益子という土地に
根ざしながら、
時代や価値観の変化を柔軟に受け入れ、
先人たちの知恵と手仕事を
未来へと育み続けてこられた存在です。

この企画を通して、
器の向こう側にある
「人」や「土地」の気配を
感じていただけたら幸いです。

“Mashiko -In Between-”
The maker and the user.
One piece of pottery, two emotions.
The distance between them is closer than you might think.

This exhibition is being held with the full cooperation of Toko, a long-standing Mashiko pottery store celebrating its 50th anniversary.

This exhibition was born from our desire to convey the craftsmanship of Mashiko, Tochigi Prefecture, not only through the pottery itself, but also from the perspective of the people who support the production and the craftsmanship itself.

Toko is rooted in Mashiko, a town renowned for its folk arts.
They have flexibly embraced changes in the times and values,
and have continued to nurture the wisdom and handicrafts of their ancestors into the future.

Through this project, we hope you can sense the presence of the people and the land behind the pottery.

『石川の手しごと』

加賀百万石の文化として花開き、
江戸時代から受け継がれてきた北陸・石川県の伝統工芸と文化。
その確かな技と精神に、現代の感性や新たな息吹が重なり、
今の暮らしに寄り添うものづくりが生まれています。

加賀友禅、金沢箔、山中漆器、輪島塗といった
石川県のさまざまな伝統工芸品をご紹介いたします。

“Ishikawa Handicrafts”

The traditional crafts and culture of Ishikawa Prefecture in the Hokuriku region have flourished as part of the culture of the Kaga Domain, a region dominated by one million koku of rice. They have been passed down since the Edo period.

These reliable techniques and spirit are combined with modern sensibilities and new ideas to create products that fit into modern lifestyles.

We will be showcasing a variety of traditional crafts from Ishikawa Prefecture, including Kaga Yuzen, Kanazawa gold leaf, and Yamanaka lacquerware,Wajima lacquerware.

Edo woodblock prints, which developed during the Edo period, are renowned for their multicolored printing techniques. Works by famous artists such as Hokusai and Hiroshige continue to be cherished around the world. Please enjoy the timeless world of these pieces, created using techniques passed down since the Edo era.

At TOI BLDG. (Onland Store), you can witness the exquisite craftsmanship of Edo woodblock printing, featuring The Great Wave off Kanagawa as its centerpiece.
